Success Beyond The Score

Thank you so much for checking out my Podcast 'Success Beyond The Score'.  I started this to help those who ask me how to build their music career.  When I was 39 I decided it was time to give my music one last push.  3 years after I made the step.  Today I'm proud to say I did transition my music hobby into a full time music business with accolades and achievements and this Podcast is to help you with your journey.

Today I interview Tony Bean who is the CEO and founder of 5AM Records www.5amproductions.co.uk He is an International  Artiste Developer, Songwriter and Record Producer who has worked with major record Labels such as Polydor, Motown and Warner Brothers.

Tony has worked with Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s child, Usher, Christina Aguilera, Lemar, Beverley Knight, Kenny Thomas, Tyrese, Alexandra Burke, Freddie Kofi, Nu Life, Monique Thomas and Eternal to name a few.

Today on Success Beyond The Score Tony talks about  what it is like being a self-made Producer who  created a full time music career spanning 30 years by following his heart and navigating the industry; what it is like to be Signed;  the impact of Lockdown and tips for establishing yourself as a music producer.

Tony describes himself as being at the more mature stage of his music career where is able to consolidate things, choose the projects  he wants to work on and set the terms for his own success and how he use his time.

Tony started music from his home. His mum taught him how to play the Guitar and other instruments.  He tried different jobs when he left school which but found he did not like them.  His passion was music much to the discontent of his father who felt making a living through music was not possible.  With no production or popular music courses in the 19902 Tony taught himself production, song writing and acquired necessary skills along the way.
